The Story

I grew up in Tottenham and Hackney, in a kitchen with my father and godfather, learning to cook from the age of eight. By 2007 I was working in London restaurants — the kind where the day starts at five and you don't sit down until midnight. By 2016 I'd written my first cookbook, The Dirty Dishes, with Pan Macmillan. In 2018 the Evening Standard listed me as one of London's most influential tastemakers in food and drink.

This site is the third act. Not a product line, not a media brand — a notebook of the things I actually use, the recipes I actually cook, and the opinions I actually have, made shoppable for anyone who wants the same kit.
